3) Visit to "Sewing Together" School
The heart of the experience lies in a visit to Sewing Together, a mini school founded by Maja Kotala. This program empowers women, single mothers, and young girls who didn’t have the opportunity to finish their education — giving them a second chance through skill-based learning.
Maja will share insights into the challenges women face in Kenya, the mission of Sewing Together, and the powerful initiative “Victoria’s Ride”, which addresses menstrual poverty in East Africa.
You’ll meet the students, hear their inspiring stories, and view their handcrafted creations made from upcycled and locally sourced fabrics. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase their unique designs — with all proceeds going directly to support the school and fund further free education.
