As you probably know, water is a big problem in Mombasa. Fresh water comes to our school only once a month. We store it in a container under and above the house. But it’s not enough. What do we do then ? We need to call somebody for help to bring us 10 jerry cans to survive another week. If that’s not possible, we fetch water from neighbours, who have wells with salted water.
What about drinking water ? It’s expensive. Therefore we buy it, as well in big jerry cans. But between 7 girls and 35 degrees weather, lifting, opening and closing such a big container is difficult. That’s why we decided to reach out to companies with reusable bottles to ask for help.
Moja Butelka stepped up and not only offered to equip us with bottles, but allowed us design our own print on it ! I admit it wasn’t easy. Such a pressure of creating something what can represent us well ? Oh, Gosh ! ;) Kenya , women, colour, dance – those were the things which came do my mind immediately , and here it is ! Our own bottle !
However ! Moja Butelka didn’t stop on it ! They decided to produce a limited amount of bottles and dedicate 1,50$ from each bottle to us ! Each sold bottle will allow us to fill up our jerry can for almost a week ! So ! Ladies and Gentlemen , you can make a difference by buying such a simple thing : Our Water Bottle ! And if such a cool design is not enough for you ? Don’t forget you are helping the environment too ! The bottle is reusable and because of it we don’t need to swim in plastic.
