Since our fabrics are donated, entire income from sales is given to Sewing Together Kenya,

You will need minimum of 3-4 pads a day if you plan to wash every day and 1 – 2 pads for the night. We are providing two sizes for your comfort and peace of mind.

How often should I change them?

Every 3-5 hours is best.

Can I use them over-night?

Yes, you can, whilst we especially recommend the larger pad for night-time you can used the smaller pads if you are petite and/or have a light flow.

Would they leak? or smell?

No, special combination of Bamboo fabric absorbs all the blood and smell.

Washing

Will they stain?

The secret to preventing staining is a quick cold-water rinse by hand before you pop your pad into the bathroom bag. Don’t rinse with hot water as it will set stains - and wash within 48 hours.

Do I need to wash them before I use them?

Yes, it is a good idea to give them a few washes get them up to full absorbency. You can wash them in with your normal laundry.
How do I wash them?

Wash within 48 hours and use a non-bio powder. Bio powders and liquids can corrode the bamboo fibres and we don’t want that. Avoid fabric conditioner as it will coat the fabric fibres and reduce their absorbent capacity.

Can I wash them with other things?

Yes definitely, just treat them like you would your knickers. Same rules apply.
